Our Roots

We're connected to the land. The Solin family settled here in the summer of 1917. Jeremy grew up here, and still considers the land "home." Making maple syrup is a spring ritual that keeps us connected to the land and to our family. Maple syrup making is a family and community process. On any day, you can find 3 generations of us in the woods and in the sugarshack.

Our kids are the 5th generation of Solins on this land, and we hope to be able to care for it for generations to come. We are stewards of the forest, and the health and well-being of the ecosystem is foremost in the decisions we make. Through purchasing Tapped Maple Syrup, you become part of these forests as well, helping to sustain them and the maple sap they share with us.

Tapped Maple Syrup, LLC is co-owned by Abi and Jeremy Solin, while Jeremy's dad Dave manages most of the maple syrup operation. We all get involved in tapping, collecting sap, cooking, and, most importantly, sampling the syrup.

Our Syrups

We make craft infused, barrel-aged, and pure maple syrup from sustainably managed forests in northern Wisconsin.

We cook our syrup from sap collected each season from the Solin family’s heritage sugarbush, near Neva, Wisconsin, at the base of the glacial moraine. We’ve been making rich, flavorful maple syrup in small batches for 5 generations. We also work with other neighboring maple syrup makers who share our values and passion for delicious syrup.

Tapped infused maples syrups are made with high quality ingredients, producing rich, delicious and unique flavors. Our infused maple syrups include Black Umami Garlic, Blueberry, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Espresso, Ginger, and Red Pepper.

Our cocktail maple syrups make creating a cocktail easy! In collaboration with Copper & Pines Cocktail Company we created the Old Fashioned Cocktail Maple Syrup featuring Bittercube Bolivar Bitters. And, in collaboration with Bittercube, we created the Cherry Bark Vanilla Bitters Cocktail Maple Syrup.

In partnership with Great Northern Distilling, we also produce Whiskey Barrel-aged Maple Syrup. Barrel-aged syrups are richly flavored, taking on the deep flavors of oak and aged spirits.

The production of maple syrup helps us continue to care for and sustain our lands. By purchasing Tapped, you become part of these lands as well.
